Susannah was born in 1813 at Wispington, Lincolnshire to parents John and Mary Crowston (nee Hall). She grew up in Wispington with her sisters Elizabeth and Mary Ann. On 4th December 1832 she married Francis Jackson at Bourne, Lincolnshire. In 1833 she gave birth to their daughter, Catherine, follwed by William (1836), Mary Ann (1839), George (1841), Francis (1844), John (1846), Allen (1849), and Elizabeth (1852). Francis worked as a labourer. She continued to live in Bourne after Francis' 1875 until she died in August 1880. Susannah was buried at Bourne.
